We don’t just want to create an awesome experience, we want to create an awesome experience for you, based on your passions and interests, travel style, budget, constraints, etc. That also means offering a personal client experience. You know you’ll be working with an actual human (not an AI bot) that cares about you and wants you to have the best experience possible.

We don’t claim to be the foremost experts on every destination in the world (no one can make that claim!) Instead, we try to seek out local resources and guides who are best suited to share knowledge and experience about their region. This benefits travelers, as well as the host communities.

Respect for the land and local communities is one of our core values and is always top of mind. Although we aren’t perfect, we are constantly building our knowledge of sustainable and ethical tourism to ensure the travel experiences we plan don’t come at the expense of the local population and the natural environment.

To be honest, I never imagined that the very different threads of my life would lead me to craft a business rooted in sustainable travel. These threads that have been woven together include:

  • An international studies and human rights graduate with 10 years of experience working at a nonprofit in DC 
  • The owner of The Hummingbird Event Co. where I’ve helped 60+ clients craft truly memorable weddings and gatherings 
  • A co-founder of Emerald Hour, a sustainable wedding initiative to educate industry professionals in the Pacific Northwest
  • A lifelong learner, traveler, and lover of the natural world who finds joy in helping others experience the wonders of travel   

I am truly delighted that these somewhat disparate threads led me to create a business that combines my commitment to sustainability and human rights, a knack for logistical coordination, and my passion for creating amazing experiences for others.

Meet Hannah

  • I LOVE good food and culinary journeys, but I still make boxed mac & cheese for dinner every couple of weeks. (Judge me if you must, but I will never change,)

  • Some of my favorite things to do while traveling are bird watching, visiting as many local  bookstores as humanly possible, and checking out the coffee scene. (Birds + books + coffee = Hannah in a nutshell.)

  • I snort when I laugh. 

  • One of my most underrated skills (that I brag about the most) is my ability to choose excellent produce.

I wish to acknowledge the fact that as the owner of the Hummingbird Event Co., I inhabit land stolen from the Duwamish People, the First People of the present-day Seattle area. Although insufficient, I am committed to paying rent to the Duwamish Tribe and I encourage all occupants of the Seattle area to do the same through Real Rent Duwamish. The Duwamish Tribe has yet to receive rightful recognition from the U.S. government - take a few seconds to sign this petition to demand federal recognition.
